Do I need permission to use the VFW or Auxiliary Emblem or name?

Yes. The VFW and Auxiliary logos (as well as others such as Buddy Poppy, Voice of Democracy, Patriot's Pen, etc.) are all trademarked and owned by VFW National Headquarters. VFW Store and authorized licensed vendors are the only sources to purchase logoed merchandise. VFW By-laws, copyright laws and other Federal Statutes require written permission from the VFW National Headquarters to reproduce the VFW Emblem and/or name, including the acronym "VFW". We suggest contacting the VFW Store for any custom logo products you may need. A Custom Consultant will be happy to research the item and give you a competitive quote.  Proceeds from sales through the VFW Store stay within the organization and help fund the various programs made available to veterans and members of the military and their families.
