Can a convicted felon become a member of the VFW?

Yes. However, under the provisions of Section 902 of the By-Laws, members who commit offenses recognized by the VFW shall be subject to Disciplinary Action and may be assessed the penalties outlined in the By-Laws. Conviction of, or entering a guilty or no contest plea to a felony, is one of the offenses recognized.
