Demeter's Manual of Parliamentary Law provides that financial reports are given purely for the information of the members at meetings and do not need to be put to a vote to be accepted or adopted because this would certify its accuracy and completeness without proper audit. If the report has been audited prior to the reading, a vote would be in order to accept the report for final approval.
